National Sterling Silver Deposit Vase,
Antique, Floral, Light Blue & Silver
National Silver Deposit Ware Company New York produced sterling silver items From 1920- 1950
Silver deposit was first made during the late nineteenth century. Solid sterling silver is applied by a chemical method so that a cutout design of silver is applied. The technique was used to make pieces in the Art Nouveau style that were popular from the 1890s to about 1920. It is sometimes called silver overlay. This turn of the last century, sterling silver overlay vase, is dramatic in style. This beautiful light blue vase has silver veins throughout the piece and is embellished with floral designs and very clean lines.
