Beautifully engraved certificate from the National Bank of Herndon issued in 1910. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an allegorical man on a wheel with wings. This item is hand signed by the Companys President ( Ernest L. Robey ) and Cashier and is over 93 years old.
Certificate Vignette ERNEST LEE ROBEY b. 8 AUG 1870, HERNDON, VIRGINIA, died 14 SEP 1941. Dr. Ernest Robey, was also a farmer and a pharmacist in and was Mayor of Herndon in 1924. There was actually a Chamber that preceded this one. Dr. E. I. Robey was also the first president of the Herndon Chamber of Commerce in 1921.
