This antique bronze after the French artist, Eugene Marioton (1857-1933), depicts a maiden in classical robe playing a double flute, is known as "Muses des Bois". It resides on a green stone (marble) pedestal. Signed in the cast with no foundry mark. This cast dates from the late nineteenth or early twentieth century.
