Good quality Movado (Swiss) tiny purse watch. This is a tiny watch-like clock designed to fit into a lady's handbag. It has a sliding case to open it. The movement is wound by the action of opening and closing the clock cover. The covering is black crocodile leather. There is a little fold-out leg at the rear, so you place the watch on your desk or bedside table. The numbers 578 and 532 and Metal Dore are stamped on the rear. Movado is a Swiss luxury watch company whose name is Esperanto for "continuous movement". Original designer of this ingenious clock was Ermeto Pullman. This example comes with its original box. It appears to be in good going order (although I have not had it overhauled). Clock measures 62 mm wide when open and 41 mm wide when shut (about 2.1/2 inches and 1.58 inches). It is 27 mm high (1.1/16 inch). There is a suspension ring on one corner. Excellent condition exterior.
