This is a cute little mottoware cream jug or creamer or milk jug made by Aller Vale England potteries between 1867-1901 when the factory closed. It has the motto Tak A Little Craim and is in very good condition. The creamer measures 2 inches high by 2.5 inches in diameter at the base and 2 inches at the top. A wonderful piece of mottoware in very good condition with no chips or cracks. This famous and fun pottery has been manufactured in the south of England from the 1860s until the factories closed in the 1960s. It is usually of red clay decorated with bright glazes, cottages and mottos or sayings that run the gamut from proverbs and sound advice to nearly outrageous. Always fun and different and very collectible!
