Mother of Pearl 12 Dinner knives sterling silver carved handles

Unavailable
These are exceptional DINNER size knives in mint condition. The Mother of Pearl has a carved diamond cartouche, and elegant lines. They are one-or-a-kind. Mother of Pearl handled knives were made from 1870 until the turn of the last century. The pearl came from the development of the China trade in the 1870's. Most Ferruels' ( the band between the pearl handle and the knife) were sterling and most knife blades were silverplate. They were used to go with many of the sterling and plated flatware patterns.
