(c. 1860).The clock is made of the finest SOLID MAHOGANY and decorated with gorgeous bronze gilt ornaments!!The bronze gilt pendulum is carved with mythological symbols.The bronze gilt dial with Roman numerals and the handmade steel hands are fantastic!!The clock has an 8 days movement and is in fine working order.The chime is on an old silvered bell and strikes every half and full hour.The 8 days bronze movement has no marks but the construction of the movement is certainly of Samuel Marti.He was living and working in Paris from 1835 till 1895.No matter where you put this clock everyone will be begging to know where you got such an outstanding clock and where they can get one like it!
