This is a fabulous figural brooch by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I have no idea what kind of ancient animal it is. It is in sterling silver with a gold matte finish. Measures 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches. Excellent condition. Chunky piece. Marked on the back, MMA, STERLING. The sterling is hard to read underneath the MMA,but is there. Shipping is $5.95 for priority,insured. This would make a great addition to your collection.
