Here is "Girl Picking Berries", one from a wonderful series of twelve bucolic subjects designed by William Wise (and signed by him at lower right corner) for Mintons known as "Country Pursuits". Mintons China Works Pattern No. 2164, c. 1886. The tile is printed in a beautiful range of sepia to dark brown on white and is in excellent condition with light upper right corner wear; it is finished in a bright, glossy glaze.
