Millers Falls Push Drill No. 185A w/8 Drills Yankee Style

This is a nice clean vintage used spiral push drill marked "MILLER FALLS CO. GREENFIELD MASS. MADE IN U.S.A. NO. 185A" near the end cap. It has the same type screw chuck that the older North Brothers push drills had, and in fact it is designed to hold the "YANKEE" style drills in the chuck. This one has a full set of eight that store in the handle, and fit in the chuck also. This model features the size of each of the 8 drills on the handle, along a hole to gauge that size as well. To get one of the drill out for use, simply turn the cap to the size desired, and lightly shake the drill out of its storage space. All 8 drill spaces are filled, and the drills are in very good used condition, sharp and ready to use. The nickel plating is over 90% intact on this drill, some very minor scratches on the main shaft and cap mostly, one tiny ding noted on the handle. A very nice tool overall. I do have some replacement drill points for this style push drill availiable for sale, if you should need extras. It appears that the hand knurled area on this one was once painted bright red, some of that has worn off. A very rare push drill with the screw type chuck, and in such nice shape too! A very well made tool!
