This is a very nice, clean, single speed hand drill marked "MILLERS FALLS CO. No. 38 GREENFIELD MASS. MADE IN U.S.A." on the crank handle, and also marked "MILLERS FALLS COMPANY" on the 4.5" crank wheel. This drill is in very nice shape with about 75% of the original paint intact, and good solid hardwood handles. The end handle has a threaded end cap, and room inside the handle to store the included spiral drill bits you see in the pictures. We note that it appears there was a larger pin fitted into the nickel plated furrule at one time in the past, there is a very minor wiggle of the handle to frame, not bad otherwise very well attached, with no damage, no cracks, good end cap threads. This is a rather rare model, with a die cast frame which encloses pinion gear to some extent. The pinion needs a drip of oil or two each time it is used for smoothest operation. The gears, and all the shafts are in great shape, turns smoothly. The 1/32-5/16" " diameter capacity, 3 jaw chuck, good jaw springs, a few minor exterior scratchs on the chuck, otherwise, all in great shape! A very nice tool overall!
