This is a SO retro teapot made by Midwinter, England in the Riverside pattern in the 1950- 1960s. The teapot is signed by designer John Russell and is in the very moderne, retro mid century Fashion shape with avocado green lid and streamlined shape and Stylecraft line. The teapot measures 6.75 inches high by 9.5 inches long by 5 inches wide and is in very good ++ condition with a shallow lip chip and some crazing which is normal for Midwinter's glaze at this time. Midwinter was acquired by Wedgwood in the late 1960s, after this was made. A super retro teapot and very evocative of the era.
