This is a SO retro demi cup and saucer made by Midwinter, England in the Riverside pattern in the 1950-1960s. The small cup and saucer is part of a teaset I acquired. The larger pieces are signed by designer John Russell the set is in the very moderne, retro mid century Fashion shape with an avocado green cup with streamlined shape and square saucer with cattails and leaves from the Stylecraft line. The cup is 2.25 high, the saucer is 4.75 inches square and the set is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Midwinter was acquired by Wedgwood in the late 1960s, after this was made. A super retro cup and saucer and very evocative of the era.
