Mid-19TH Century (C. 1840-1850) Continental, maybe Russian Plate measuring 9 1/2" in diameter. This unmarked plate is a very well decorated porcelain plate. Central scene of a large animal, possibly moose with antlers. Very Good Quality. The artist has even painted a shadow of this animal in the decoration. Beautiful gold gilding with hardly any wear at all. The outside of the rim is black with a turquoise panel with a design going full circle. There are three black circles with gilding which I believe represents a Russian Icon. This plate is quite different and absolutely fantastic. Excellent Condition and Very Good Quality.
