Old Mexico Carved Wood Dome Top Box.  It has deeply carved roses, leave,  vines sun rays and more.   The dome  lid is carved from a singe piece of wood .   There is a locking mechanism but no key, old  hinges and sits on 4 beveled feet that are attached with a nail.     I think the wood is oak. 

The condition is very good to excellent for an old item.   There is dust in the crevices and the wood has an aged look.    

It measures  5" tall and 10" wide and 5" deep.
