Great silverplate teapot with Eastlake and Renaissance Revival decorations. Overall, this piece is rather plain and only has decoration limited to the handle, spout, legs and lid. We especially like the lion's head medallions. Meriden silverplate hallmark (as shown in photo) on underside with Patent Applied for 1877
Measures 10-1/4 inches handle-to-spout. 9 inches overall height.
Good overall condition. The finial is cock-eyed and the silver plate is worn in spots. No repairs. Some very small dings.
Circa 1870s
Made in Connecticut
