Wonderful old mercury vase from 19th century France has what appears as a raised design although smooth to the touch,surrounding the body of the jar in a diagonal swirl and a rimmed lip. Wonderful condition to the mercury glass on the exterior with only minor wear at the lip and inside bottom as seen. The interior takes on a golden hue with reflection. Mouth is large enough to hold a grand bouquet or use as a solitary accent item. No cracks. Measures 5.5H X 5.5D X 5.5L with a 4.25 diameter lip.
