Our owner, Tom Carrier, has been a presenter and member of the board of the North American Vexillological Association since 1980, the largest vexillological organization of FIAV, the international vexillological body. He served as the editor of NAVA News, was the co-founder of the Chesapeake Bay Flag Association, is WorthPoint’s only worthologist, or recognized expert, on flags, and is a long-time collector of 30 years. He has provided an in depth presentation at the White House on the presidential flag and seal to the White House Curator and the U.S. Secret Service, consulted on historic flags at the Army Institute of Heraldry, the U.S. Department of State and foreign embassies, presented at the Smithsonian Institute and local school groups, was a featured evaluator for nonprofit organizations, at the Democratic National Convention and at Brimfield, and will co-host the 24th International Flag Congress in Washington, D.C. in 2011.
