The Gorham Medallion pattern ( 1864 ) tongs are in very fine condition ; are 7 " long and weigh 3 ounces on the stamp scale .The spring is original and is still in fine condition ---"springy". Starr and Marcus were quality New York city manufacturers and retailers in the 1870's that sold Gorham silver also. We welcome questions about these fine tongs as well as our large collection of Gorham Medallion - all OLD pieces, soon to be listed , but let us know what you are looking for and we will see that it is on the site.
