This may look like an ordinary drop leaf table, but it has a unique mechanical feature. The table was originally designed for card or game playing. The table has an inset leather top. When the leaves are down, it only measures 12.5" wide. By raising both leaves at the same time, two legs are spring-loaded and automatically; swing out to support the leaves. The system works smoothly and holds up the leaves securely in place. The tapered legs are gracefully turned and rest on their original wooden casters. The carved stretchers meet in the middle and have a large turned finial. The leather and finish are in excellent condition. The table is very sturdy with no breaks or repairs.
