A fabulous antique boxed newel post in heart pine, salvaged from a 19th Century home in Philadelphia. The newel features a square top accented with a row of dentil trim, with square recessed panels below. The edges halfway down feature a bead-and-reel design, flanking sets of three panels. A few of the “teeth” on the dentil trim are missing; the newel is otherwise in good condition. This box newel measures 10-5/8” wide and approx. 48” tall.
