Victorian novelty match holder/striker - for Vesta (wax) matches. Little boy in a top hat wearing a blue and white romper suit - the matches sit in his top hat, you strike them against the rough sides of his hat, and the spent matches go in his basket. Measures 11 5 cm high (4.1/2 inches). Excellent condition. Probably German in origin made for the English market.
