Massive walnut table by Thomas Brooks

Unavailable
Massive walnut Victorian table attributed to Thomas Brooks with original oval white marble top. There are intricate cutout carvings on the curved skirt. The large center post has a ring of balls attached in the middle. Bold carvings, decorated with original gilt highlights, are featured in the legs. The table rests on the original casters. This is one of the common table patterns that is attributed the famous NYC firm. The underside of the marble is signed “C and J. O’Neal’s Marble Works, 29th St. NY” (see photo). We have had dozens of such tables over the years but NEVER one this size. Normally they are 34-38″ long. The gilt decoration is another rather unusual feature. Circa: 1860. Dimensions: 30.5″H x 52.5″L x 35.5″D. Finish: Very good original finish with a deep rich patina and original gilt. A break in one leg has been professionally repaired. Price: $7950.00 More photos availbable on request
