Arisman's Paintings and drawings have widely exhibited nationally and internationally over the past twenty years. One-man shows in America Europe and the Far East have brought him international recognition. His work is in the permanent painting and drawing collection of the Brooklyn Museum, the national Museum of American Art and the Smithsonian Collections. Arisman's work has strong emotional themes which often explore the connections between humankind and violence and the resulting spiritual impact. His Political drawings are regularly seen on the Op-Ed Page of the New York Times, The nation, and Time Magazine. Arisman is the chairman of the MFA degree program Illustration as Visual Essay at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
