Marie Antoinette Bisque Porcelain & Dore Bronze Clock

This delightful antique clock is fashioned from bisque porcelain with dore bronze neoclassical mounts, features the bust of Marie Antoinette (Queen to King Louis XVI of France) and two large cherubs. It is marked with blue crossed swords and dates from circa 1880. It measures 29" high, 20" wide and 11" deep, and weighs an estimated 25-35 lbs. The face is signed "Barthelemy" and "a Paris", and we have not found a maker's mark on the escapement. Working condition is unknown. This item resides in our client's gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan ( New York City ) and may be seen by appointment. Additional images forwarded upon request. ( hantiques )
