This very, very old binder of maps contains maps and colored soils sections of the State of Indiana and was done in the year 1869. It refers to the report of the State Geologist in 1869. It is in fair condition. The spine of the binder is bad; It was tied together with old string and the binder contains loose individual map drawings (5) of Green County Indiana and marked with individual sections where the Geologist felt there was Coal, Iron Ore and Stone. There are also two wonderful hand colored maps showing the different layers in the earth as pertaining to black coal etc. (See photo) The maps are in delicate condition and need to be opened and preserved under glass.
