This Mount Airy Mantel and Table Company Mahogany Table & Chair Dining Set was made by a company that was founded in 1902 by George O. Graves, B. H. Williamson and Calvin Graves. Situated in Mount Airy, North Carolina, the dining set hails from the same town that Andy Griffith grew up in, the town believed to be what Mayberry was based on in The Andy Griffith Show. 

Ideal for intimate or larger gatherings, this circa 1920 Mount Airy Mantel and Table Company Mahogany Table & Chair Dining Set's dining table measures, 29.50 inches H X 48.00 inches in diameter, and with the three 08.00 inch leafs, measures 29.50 inches H X 48.00 inches W X 72.00 inches L. The dining table has a lovely straight-lined skirt and five elegant turned legs. The additional fifth leg supports the center of the table when in the opened position, so one does not have to worry about the table sagging. The matching dining chairs consists of one arm chair that measures, 40.00 inches H X 25.00 inches W X 20.00 inches D, and four side chairs that measure, 40.00 inches H X 17.25 inches W X 18.00 inches D. The chairs have a curved top rail and back splat, decorative skirt and elegant turned legs with H spreaders. The arm chair also includes a curved arm rest and turned arm rest supports. The chair's removable seat cushions make it a cinch to change the fabric so it is quite easy to make the look one's own.
