Federal mahogany shield back dining chairs. Solid mahogany frames in a soft brown mahogany finish. Great finish with semi gloss sheen. These chairs are a close reproduction of a Schmieg & Kotzian chair from the 1930's but our version of the chair is biiger and more comfortable. It is also a taller chair so it will stand up taller along side our tables. I call it a 'today chair', or 21st century shield back dining chairs. These tall, simple and refined shield back dining chairs can be defined as Federal Dining chairs. These shield backs have a removable seat cushion so adding new fabric would be an easy in home fix. Fabric is beautiful pin stripe pattern with a golden yellow and bluish stripe. These chairs are very solid and sturdy frames.
