Made In Japan Cottageware Sugar and Lid

This sugar with lid has the windmill design used in the cottageware lines made in Japan in the 1950's or 1960's. It is in very good condition with no chips or repairs and it has good paint and detail of the windmill design. There is a inch and a half long, tight hairline crack in the back (see photos) and some minor crazing in the glaze. This cottageware sugar and lid is marked Japan on the bottom (see photos) and is 4 1/4" high, 3 1/8" in diameter at the bottom and 2 1/2" in diameter at the opening.
