Louis Clodion Attributed Pair of Louis XVI Bronze Urns

Unavailable
This extraordinary and tall pair of patinated and ormolu bronze urns have been attributed to Louis Claude Michel Clodion French (1738-1814). They feature cast, patinated bronze urn shapes with frolicking cherubs in high relief. Their gilt bronze mounts all have their original surfaces, and include ram's heads and berry vines at the waist, and elaborate handles featuring classical masks and swags. Each measures approximately 25" (63.5 cm) tall. These urns reside with our client in midtown Manhattan in New York city and may be seen in person by appointment.
