Extremely good condition for the age and work - this Victorian Punch Work Motto Sampler measures framed 25 1/2" x 21" in a 19th c. frame., c. 1880. Punch work is wool needlework on paper usually depicting mottos of the period. Often the paper ages and the wool fades. This motto sampler work is in great condition with brilliant red colors depicting the Lord's Prayer centered with a cross, heart and anchor.
