Live Alligators Ad 1933 This is a September 1933 advertisement. This is a nice black and white ad from Open Road for Boys Magazines. They are offering live baby alligators for one dollar each. It advertises them as Gentle Pets. Shows different people holding baby alligators. Ad reads, Do you know that alligators live to be hundreds of years old. Do you know they grow very slowly and can remain motionless for days. This was a center page in a magazine that was stapled so there are tiny holes where the staples were, otherwise, In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 16 1/4 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall.
