Little Black Sambo Tin Target
This is a excellent tin target for a rubber tipped dart gun that was made by Wyandotte Toys. It measures 23" tall by 14" wide and is in excellent condition with the original cardboard backing still intact. The colors are clean and bright. There are 2 light scratches, one in the red painted area by Sambo's shoulder that measures approximately 1 inch long and the other is in the brown and yellow rings of the target which measures 2 3/4" long. Both scratches are not deep and just take the top layer of red paint off leaving the white underneath show through. The brown layer of paint is scratched leaving the red paint underneath showing. The part of the scratch in the yellow area of the target ring is just a darker mark not really a scratch. I believe it to be some of the brown paint from the brown target ring that is next to it that has been dragged into the yellow ring when the brown ring was scratched. This part of the mark is so light that it does not show up in the picture. This is only the second Little Black Sambo target like this that I have seen in the past 25 years of antiquing.
