Lectrolite Slip-Joint Combination Pliers No. 216 6 inch

$10.00
Quantity available: 1
Offering this clean, vintage 6.5" long slip joint combination pliers marked "LECTROLITE NO. 216 MADE IN U.S.A." in stamped lettering on one side. The stamp is rather lightly impressed, but most of it can be seen with a magnifier. We note a past owner has also stamped these with a 5 in a few places. The handles have a smooth type grip surface on the outside. This is a nice pliers that has no rust or pitting, in good shape, the slip joint works well, and the jaw teeth are in good condition with very minimal wear, good teeth and wire cutter. These measure 6.5" long overall. Slip-joint pliers have long been a pocket tool for many mechanics, and repairmen over the years. I know of some who have a pair of this type of pliers on their person just about all the time. Most claim the vintage drop forged pliers like this one will out last their individual need over their working years. This one has most of the chrome plating still intact. In 1962 Lectrolite was purchased by the Symington-Wayne Corporation, this pliers was made previous to 1962.
