This terrifying animal - denizen of the deep is a spectacular pin with his glowing purple eyes. I actually put a silver chain through the pin mechanism and wore it as a pendant( see picture). An Etsy fan gave me a great idea. For silk scarves she uses brooches or pins as scarf anchors. When the pin is long enough, as is this one, you can put the scarf ends through the pin arm without having to put the pin through the scarf and poke holes in it.

The piece is marked 925 (sterling silver) and has the registration mark of TS-79 and Mexico and the hallmark of 2 trees (pine trees?) & 92 You can find these marks in Bille Hougart's book The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks. The SPECIAL part is that this was designed for a what must have been a close friend of the artist because it is also marked For J. This is a large pin/pendant 64x36x11mm with stones 3mm each and weighs 15.2g.
