Very rare, large tile panel depicting Aphrodite pouring a libation at a brazier, while holding a sapling with narcissus springing up at her feet by the renowned artist, Louis Solon for Minton's China Works, c. 1883-1885. This panel measures 6" x 14.25" and appears in the Minton's catalog as pattern number 2534E and made by Solon. The tile is in very good condition but does have some all-over surface wear. All edges and corners in good shape with a very nice glossy glaze. Back is stamped "Minton's China Works Stoke-on-Trent".
