True 1930s Deco comport - probably a fruit bowl - with brown bakelite stand and white bakelite bowl mottled with orange, red and green. There is a plated ring around the bowl where the white and the brown meet, and a plain plated band around the stem. Stem unscrews. This is such a stylish, genuine, piece of the Deco period. It measures about 20 cm high and 26 cm diameter (8 inches by 10.1/4 inches). No makers marks. Very good condition - a few minor scuffs and some small amount of wear to the plating, but nothing or ugly or indeed noticeable.
