Large antique natural wicker and wood laundry basket, with original bent wood handles, circa 1940 or earlier. This large old basket measures approximately 11.5 inches high, 30.5 inches wide, and 17.5 inches deep, not including the handles. With the handles, it measures approximately 14.25 inches high, 32 inches wide, and 17.5 inches deep. The basket has a woven wood bottom on a thick solid wood frame. The sides have wide wood slats woven with sturdy wicker. The top and bottom are finished with bent wood strips, fastened with iron nails. The strong wooden handles are securely attached with large iron nails. This piece is in very good condition: intact and sturdy. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition.
