Chelsea ships clocks are universally regarded as the best in the USA, and probably in the world. They have ridden our Navy ships into, and out of, battle since before 1900, and Chelsea clocks have been given by many of our US Presidents to visiting heads of state as gifts, representing some of our countrys finest work.
This clock was made in 1977 or 1978. The clock face is 5.5 inches in diameter, the bronze screw-on bezel is 7.25 inches, and the clock is mounted on an oak plaque. Overall condition is excellent; it is keeping perfect time, and striking the proper ship's bells.
