L'air du Temps is one of the world's best known perfumes, as famous for its bottle as its elegant fragrance. The scent was created in 1948 by Robert Ricci (son and business partner of Maria "Nina") and master perfumer Francis Fabron. The crystal flacon with its intertwined doves topper was designed by Marc Lalique. The scent captures the exuberance and passion of the post-war period. The name means "air of the times," or to put it bluntly, "the smell of today."
This original 1 oz. flacon is housed inside a camel colored box with suede finish and the Nina Ricci mark embossed in gold on the top. A wire brace holds the bottle upright inside the box.
