We have other posters produced by Damare for this hall, yet no biographical data for Damaré is available. He (or she) worked for the Folies Bergères, the Olympia and other top music halls for years, always coming up with humorous, attention-getting designs of this sort.With no particular information on this play available (lost in smoke as it were), we have to imagine that La Belle Otero was thinking of becoming a nun ... or something... Poster is in excellent condition, linen-backed and measures 35 x 49.5 inches.
