La Chaise Fiberglass Lounge Chair by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra

Unavailable
This La Chaise by Vitra dates from as early as 1991 when the company first produced the model. It is constructed with two bonded fibreglass shells, chromed rod base, and a natural oak cruciform foot. Condition is good. There are visible scratches and chips, so please inspect our images carefully. Charles and Ray Eames designed the chair in 1948 for a competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The name comes from their inspiration by the "floating figure"sculpture by Gaston Lachaise. This model is still produced today by Vitra and has a retail price of over $9,000. Additional images forwarded upon request. za-
