La Canada was a small pottery located in Southern California in the town of Newhall from the late 1930s- the 1950s. They hand made all their pottery and were known for the lovely soft matte glazes and relaxed forms of their pottery. The pottery is remarkably thin and light with an obvious hand thrown look. This pitcher is marked La Canada Newhall California Hand Made #30 and is in excellent condition.
