KNOX MARTIN (1928 - )

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, South America. Son of William Knox Martin (aviator, painter, poet), the first man to fly over the Andes. 1946 - 1950 Studied at The Art Students League. 1965 - 1971 Taught at Yale Graduate School of the Arts, first as visiting critic in art, and then as Professor of Art. (In 1967, taught at New York University.) Named to "Who's Who in America." 1972 Taught at the University of Minnesota. 1990 - 92 Taught in Italy. Presently gives master classes at the Art Students League.
