This is a pair of antique victorian silver plated knife rests made in England 1880-1900. Each knife rest measures 3 inches long by 1.5 inches high by 1.75 inches wide. The Knife holder or knife rest has a barley twist bar and andiron ends shaped like a fancy letter A. They are in very good shape but have been used quite a bit and show plating loss, especially to the bar and inside feet of one of the ends. A wonderful example of the victorian love for gadgets and housekeeping. A great way to keep the tablecloth clean.
