Staebel Antiques offers this mahogany tilt top tea table made by the KITTINGER COMPANY in Buffalo NY about 1940. The Kittinger Company made quality duplications of 18th century colonial furniture. This piece retains the original paper label with the company name and " Pattern A449" and "Serial 5". This paper label indicates it is an early piece made by Kittinger. The center pedestal is turned and carved, the legs have carved acanthus leaves on the knees with highly detailed ball and clawfeet. The top is ribbon stripe mahogany with a pie crust edge. The finish has been professionally removed and restored to its original patina to provide a georgous mahogany grain and color. This is a quality tilt top tea table.
