Josef Lorenzl Chryselephantine Bronze Sculpture

This chryselephantine figurine by the Austrian sculptor, Josef Lorenzl (1892-1950), features polychrome cold-painted decoration and its original onyx stone pedestal. Cast signature "Lorenzl". Entire piece (including pedestal) measures 9.75" high, 6" wide and 2.5" deep (24.8 by 16.2 by 6.3 cm) and weighs roughly 2 lbs. This sculpture is not a reproduction and dates from the height of the Art Deco period. The condition is excellent. There is some minor enamel loss and hairline crack to the face, and there are no repairs or needed repairs. This item resides with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York, and may be seen by appointment. ( hantiques )
