This is a Johnson Brothers, England butter pat, butter chip or small dish made 1900-1907. The semi porcelain or ironstone butter pat measures 3 inches in diameter and has molded edges and a pale floral and arabesque design. The butter pat is in excellent condition with no chip, cracks or wear and only the minor crazing normal for the age and material. Butter pats are having a rebirth as teabag holders, sushi or sauce dishes or pill holders in today's homes. Cool.
