From the COA: "'The Jetsons" premiered on national television in 1962 and has subsequently aired on each of the television networks for a total of fifteen years. Because of the show's popularity, Hanna-Barbera created new episodes of the series in 1985. A quarter century after its original run, "The Jetsons" has added a new generation of loyal fans to its following.

The art for this serigraph cel was created by Hanna-Barbera, based on their original animation art for "The Jetsons." The artist used master prints of the animation program as their color guide. The serigraphy artisans at Chicago Serigraphic Workshop created 18 separate screens, one for each individual color, from which the edition was printed, one color at a time. By using the meticulous serigraph process, the hand crafted quality of an original cel was achieved.
