Jefferson Glass Company blue opalescent ruffle grape vine footed compote bowl EAPG
Jefferson Glass Company blue with an opalescent ruffle and crimp rimmed bowl. The opalescence fades gradually into the translucent blue. Held up to the light the area looks like carnival glass.. This particular pattern (#245) of grape clusters, vines and leaves was produced by Jefferson in Steubenville, Ohio prior to 1907. The bowl measures 7-1/2" square by 5-5/8" by 3-1/2" high and has a hollow pedestal foot. It has a circle of rounded end rays at the center The condition is excellent.
